I could not imagine how Afghanistan would be or
even dream of what our eyes would see

A war torn country under Taliban rule
A ray of hope on the faces of the Afghan people in Kabul
Rich in tradition, culture and stories untold
A people longing to be heard, so much beauty to unfold
Our ultimate goal is to win the hearts and minds
Everywhere we turn we are on the front lines
Fighting for their freedom is a price that we must pay
Walking hand in hand waiting for the day
Our brothers can be free to walk the distant lands
From Herat, Kabul to Kandahar, No more Taliban
Afghan Treasures we will find as we win the hearts and minds
Of a people willing to embrace you and me
A people that are truly yearning to see
A better life in Afghanistan, one without war
A reason to live, fighting no more
These are the Afghan treasures that we long to find
All within reach in the hearts and minds of the Afghan people standing tall with you and me
