It could save your life or that of your loved one!
Being in the military has taught you a thing or two: First of all to survive and second never to let your comrads wounded on the battlefield.
So: SURVIVE! And save your comrads on their next battlefield: their own wounds back at home (or worse: being homeless)!
Save yourselves and save your comrads by dialing the number! I can tell from experience with such a crisis hotline that it helps...it unstresses and unnerves and it puts things into perspective again. Even if it's just to get through yet another day!
