How Can You Help?
We are honored that you chose to honor Military Families through Project Sanctuary 

• Host a Party, Coffee, and Potluck: Everyone needs to socialize…host it for a cause, Project Sanctuary! Pass the “hat”; we can provide informational brochures and donation sheets, family stories, pictures from our retreats. Great way to give a purpose to your “backyard barbeque” this summer, May is Military Appreciation Month and Memorial Day. Celebrate our freedom on Fourth of July, plan a 9/11 Remembrance. • Hold a “Jeans to Work Day”:
  The Detroit Auto Workers did this and charged everyone just $1 to go out of uniform one Friday. We were amazed when a check for close to $500 showed up. Thank you Detroit Auto Workers!
• Play Poker, Bridge or Bunko:
  What ever your game, split the pot with Project Sanctuary. The Charlotte Bridge Club does this every month. Thank you Charlotte Bridge Players!
• Spread the Word:
  Tell your friends and family about Project Sanctuary and the work we are doing to honor our national heroes. Get the word out on Twitter, Facebook, and all your online and personal social networks. Your efforts will help us to find supporters and families in need of our support. www.projectsanctuary.us
• Email a friend:
  Contact your friends and ask them to support you in supporting US! If 5 people contacted 5 friends each and asked them to go online and donate $20!!! (5 people x 5 friends x $20 each = $500)  Tell your contacts about volunteer and donation opportunities with project sanctuary. Or tell a military family about the services we provide.
• Join the Club:
  We would love to come speak to your club! American Legions, Rotary Clubs, Women’s Groups, Churches and VFW Clubs are all donating to Project Sanctuary. Thank you!! Contact Info@ProjectSanctuary.us to set up.
• GoodSearch:
  Every Internet search earns us a penny. Every online store you visit through GoodSearch earns more. Online shopping? Visit GoodSearch and check out all the stores who will donate to Project Sanctuary.

The Important Things to Know

• When organizing a fundraiser or event to benefit Project Sanctuary, please bear in mind that we are a family focused organization and events should be age appropriate.
• We will provide reasonable quantities of promotional materials, such as brochures, donation envelopes, banners at no charge.
• We have a small staff, but will make every attempt to send a Project Sanctuary representative to your event.
• The Project Sanctuary logo is available to use on your promotional materials, with our permission.
• Please contact us for high resolution logos and standard messaging. We do ask to review materials that use our logo before you go to press with anything. Send copy and proofs to heather@projectsanctuary.us
• Project Sanctuary cannot underwrite expenses for fundraising events.
• Project Sanctuary cannot authorize a bank account to be opened in the name of “Project Sanctuary,” and we cannot issue tax receipts for donations that do not come directly to through our office.
• Project Sanctuary will process credit cards and checks if requested – all of these donations that are processed directly by Project Sanctuary will be acknowledged with a receipt that can be used for tax purposes.
• We support and appreciate your business and will do everything we can to mutually promote you as a military friendly organization.
• We will promote your events through our email distribution and newsletters and through an “events” link on our website. Any promotion of the event including advertising and direct mail must be at the expense of the event organizers.
• We genuinely appreciate your fundraising efforts. However, you are not to be considered a spokesperson for Project Sanctuary. Please direct all media requests and questions to Heather Ehle 720-561-9193
